Celtic Rewilding Animations
A collection of animated GIFs for Celtic Rewilding, capturing the personality and unique characteristics of the Moor Frog, the Agile Frog and the European Tree Frog. These three species of frogs were once native to the UK; however, due to deforestation, human activity and natural descent, they have gone extinct in the UK. Celtic Rewilding aims to reintroduce the native UK species back into our ecosystem. Part of this reintroduction includes introducing their personality and uniqueness to the public in order to gain support to reintroduce them into the wild.
The European Tree Frog spends its day (like many in the UK) sunbathing when the sun is out.
A male Moor Frog changes colour from an orange-y brown to a vibrant blue to attract a female. Their extinction is dated to around the 13th century.
The Agile Frog has been reintroduced in Jersey. As the name suggests, it is very agile and has a large snout.
